Dear sister in the mirror

I believe I know you better than you’d agree, and if you’d let me, I’d like to share wisdom I’ve gleaned from my journey so far.

Dear sister, please know (and try to never forget) that as long as God is on your side; as long as youv’re on the side of Truth, you are always OK and doing fine (in spite of contrary conditions and situations that try to portray themselves as your reality).

As hard as that could get to remember sometimes, it is the truth – because, if God be for us, who can be against us? And, what can separate us from the love of Christ?

So keep hope alive, and keep going. God has a purpose that He’s working out for you, and the day would finally come when you’d look back and see the beauty of what He’s made of the life you gave back to Him.

But for now, you must trust.

Trust that He knows what He’s doing (because He does), and He knows better than you (He surely does).

And it’s still true what they say:

The only way to be happy in Jesus is to trust and obey.

When He calls you to walk on water, sister leave the boat!

When He says take up your bed and walk, don’t even think about it – just get up and go!

Has He called you to places you’d really rather not go? Rest assured, He has a plan to turn your world upside down, inside out, and shake it until only what is true remains – because after the shaking, only things that cannot be shaken would remain.

In other words, when God calls you to places and situations that require absolute trust and dependence on Him, know then without a doubt that He’s about to blow your mind!

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts – Isaiah 55:8-9.

So trust, obey, believe and don’t ever lose faith.

In this place, in this moment, and for as long as God is your Father, you are OK and doing fine.

I do not discount your fears, doubts and worries, but I’d really rather believe Truth instead –

…fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD….
The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace – Exodus 14:13-14.

So yes, I see you dear sister in the mirror, and I pray you remember Truth always, and never live like less than who you are – child of the living God, dearly beloved, and the apple of His eyes.

  1. You do see me in the mirror and offer truth and experience. My favorite was “remember Truth always, and never live like less than who you are – child of the living God, dearly beloved, and the apple of His eyes.”
