Jesus Christ left us the promise of coming back to take us to a place that He’s preparing for us.
Think about this a while:
If you left someone a promise of returning to take them someplace you were preparing for them, how would you expect them to act, with regards that promise?
I’d think they would live, expecting my returning, and looking forward to going where I’d said I’d take them – especially if I’ve already proved myself faithful in keeping my promises.
How would you feel, and what would you do if you made a promise and the recipients of that promise acted like they didn’t believe you, or weren’t exactly looking forward to receiving it?
Let us take a cue from the five wise virgins:
Knowing that the Bridegroom is surely coming, let us live prepared.
Hasn’t He already proved Himself faithful?
Let us act like we believe Him, then.
Let us live excited about, and looking forward to receiving the promise.
Let us talk about it, and take as much people as we can with us when Jesus comes back to take us to this place He’s preparing for us.
We do not know when He’s be returning, but He gave us signs to look out for.
Try this:
Take a break from trying to survive. Consider the promise. Get your house in order. Make sure you are ready, and not taken unawares when He returns.
Then live, abundantly – occupying till He returns.
Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. Hebrews 4:1.
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Romans 13:11.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9.

Hello Boma,
Boma means homestead in my national language, Kiswahili, sounds familiar?
I am encouraged that my salvation is not in vain and I have something to look up to when this life is over. For our lives are temporary and very short here on earth. We may go through tough times here but let us remember that where we are going there is no sickness, death, accidents, divorce, dear, bills etc
Hi Stella! In my mother tongue, the Okrika language, Boma means blessing. It also means praise, but my parents had “God’s blessing” in mind.
And yes, as Christians we have hope we can hold on to. Jesus is coming again! Thanks for visiting. Blessings to you.

Nigeria, Theresa. Thanks for visiting. Blessings to you.
We do forget the reality of heaven, so thank you for this great perspective. It’s wonderful that God can be counted on to keep all His promises concerning eternity as well as those concerning this very day!
