If ye will receive it

The world and the state of its affairs today has not taken God by surprise.

God is still in absolute control.

No, this was not the place He had in mind when He created the world, but after sin left it broken, God set in motion His plan to redeem man–the creature who bears most, the brunt of the brokenness of this place.

When God said, for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die, that was exactly what He’d meant–and death was the result of man’s disobedience.

As it is even today, for everyone who still lives in disobedience to their Maker.

When you look at the world, what do you see?

When you look at people, what do you see?

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Genesis 6:3.

It is God’s purpose for our time in this world to be for at least, one hundred and twenty years, and after that we would return to Him to give account of our stewardship of that time.

If you were God, how would you feel, or what would you do seeing the world today, and the state of its affairs?

Man by his own doing has shortened the number of his days on earth.

Man, the creature made in the image and likeness of God has lost the desire to fellowship with God.

So man spurns God’s law and takes His grace and love for granted.

Again, if you were God, how would you feel, and what would you do?

Like the Psalmist, we must cry out to God:

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12.

Consider this question:

What have you done with your time on earth, so far?

If you have found truth, you must share it.

If you have found the light, you must lead others to it.

It wasn’t a suggestion or a plea from our Lord to preach the Gospel to every creature–it was a command.

Only the entrance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring about the change that moves man from death to life, and from darkness to light.

Only the entrance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring about the change that causes men with renewed minds to stand for the truth and defend it on the streets.

Only the entrance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring about the change that causes men to acknowledge their  Maker and to revere their Creator in all their doings on earth, so that on the day of reckoning, they would not be ashamed when they give account of the stewardship of their time on earth.

If ye are willing to receive it:

A day of reckoning is coming. This world, and all that is in it would be put on the scale.

May you not be found wanting when that day comes, because when you think of it, what is a hundred and twenty years compared to eternity?

The choice is yours, and your eternal place of rest would be what you choose today.

So I beseech you–choose wisely.

  1. The world sure would be a better place if we all were more mindful of the moral and ethical impact of our individual and collective choices.
