Stay the course

Sometimes, you will catch a vision and run with it — maneuvering obstacles, shaking off unnecessary weights, and jumping back up on your feet when you fall.

Then there are times when the vision is clouded by fog. Then, you will muster all your strength, buoyed by the faith that your knowledge of truth has birthed within — God cannot be wrong and He cannot fail. If He has called you to this path then there must be a way. So you put one foot in front of the other even though you do see the way. It is enough that you see the Lord. So you follow.

And then there are those days the cloud thickens, the obstacles grow to life crushing heights, and those weights continue to stick on you, one after the other, until they become a strange armor too heavy to fight in, trapping faith and blocking it from having full expression.

But the vision cannot fail.

Unless you give in to the pull of that strange armor, this vision you have received from God cannot fail.

Shake off those weights — it doesn’t take too much for that armor to fall apart, just like the enemy’s lies.

And the life crushing heights the obstacles have gained are only an illusion — they’re not as permanent as they appear — they too will fall apart just as easily.

Don’t stay down.

Stand still if it’s all you can do, but don’t lose sight of the Lord.

One step at a time is all that’s required of you.

One breath at a time.

One day at a time.

One prayer at a time.

One act of obedience at a time.

One thing at a time.

One at a time… whatever this vision holds for you.

You will win.

God cannot be wrong and He will not fail.

The vision will not fail — but how would we know if you don’t stay the course and see this through to the end?
