Does heaven seem silent?

Sometimes you would pray and heaven would seem silent.

You might think the heavens are shut to you as your prayers seem to bounce back off the walls and ceiling of your confined space.

“Where are you, Lord?” You would cry out in desperation, “Do you see me? Do you hear me?”

I could tell you what you already know, that God sees you and hears you, but when your circumstances contend with this truth I understand why you might not want to hear it now.

But it is true.

Heaven is not silent to your prayers, child of God.

I do not know why you do not see God at this time but I can tell you that He is working on your behalf.

Your Father knows what’s best for you, and if He has allowed a season where you struggle to see the light, you can trust that it is producing results for your benefit and for His glory.

Perhaps you’ve been planted, like a seed that must first be covered with soil and dirt before it can hope to yield any harvests.

Or maybe you’re changing, like a butterfly waiting to burst out from that confining state of existence.

I do not know what your circumstances are but you can trust God.

Has He not always proved Himself faithful?

The Bible is replete with stories that establish this truth.

If you look back on your life you will find that this truth endures — God is faithful.

One day, you will see the answers to your prayers.

The time is coming when you will see the harvest of these dark times.

The butterfly will emerge from that confinement.

God is able, and He will do it — but you have to know this and let Him finish the work that He has started.

Trust Him and do whatever He tells you, even when you don’t understand why.

And the surest place to find what He wants you to do is the Bible.

Crosscheck every revelation with the word of God — that is, if it contradicts the Scriptures, it is not from God.

Look for, and keep His promises in your heart, like treasures to value — because they are. None of His promises will fail.

Seek His leading and relinquish control.

You must know that God is able to keep what belongs to Him.

You must know that, even when it doesn’t seem like it, everything is alright — as long as God is at the center.

One day you will say that, truly, all things work together for good to them that love the Lord.

Everything is alright, even now.

You are alright.
