Obedience

Obedience – to do what you have been told to do, when you were told to do it.

When you were told to do it.

There is a time and a season for every purpose under heaven.

And sometimes to get round to doing what you have been told to do (finally!) is not good enough.

To be obedient only eventually is not good enough, and to be consistently so shows a lack of faith and trust in the one to whom you must be obedient.

Maybe not a complete lack of faith and trust.

Just doubt.

Or a case of faith and trust under fire!

There is a purpose for the times and seasons we live in; a reason for the days we’ve been blessed with.

And we must make these times and seasons and days count.

Do you know the one to whom you must be obedient?

Do you trust and have faith in this one to whom you must be obedient?

Then you must obey, and be immediate in your obedience; you must do what you’ve been told to do, when you were told to do it.

There truly is a time and a season for every purpose under heaven.

And obedience does not serve its purpose when its not immediate.
