I could not even begin to understand the depths of your story.
It would seem like you are a woman in a world that’s within this world—
It’s almost like a place no one else can reach.
And sometimes, after you’ve done all you can, the belief that you might be trapped in this place starts to play on the borders of your mind, claiming more grounds without your permission as the days drift by.
Why?
After you have given your honest best (and some more), just why?
I have no answers to give you.
But I can tell you this—
Without the churning of milk, there would be no butter.
The grapes and olives might not understand why they have to go through the press and all that crushing.
Gold.
Silver.
Diamond.
Pottery.
The fruitful tree that is being pruned.
People.
You….
Who knows what the Master is making?—
Because child of God, when you think of it, you have never been by yourself and without help.
Our fathers have said we may never understand some things on this side… until we get to heaven.
Some get to the end of the road.
Others fall by the wayside.
But it’s still the same God — leading, shepherding, and making all we need for life available to us….
So why do some fall by the wayside?
Think about it and make a choice again today.
Or reiterate it.
Remember—
If the morning is not here yet, it’s not the end of the story then.
As sure as the air you’re breathing right now, the morning would surely come. And with it, joy.
Boma, thank you for the beautiful reminder that God always has a purpose in our sufferings, our trials. He brings beauty from the heat, the pressing on our lives, doesn’t He? There’s comfort in knowing God walks with us through it all.
And He makes all things beautiful in His time. Thanks for visiting, Jeanne. Many blessings to you!
Boma.
This line stood out to me and spoke volumes to my heart: “Because child of God, when you think of it, you have never been by yourself and without help.” So true. The Lord is always with me. He never leaves me and he never forsakes me. He always always always always makes a way.
Always!!!! Thanks for visiting, Yvonne. Many blessings to you!
That was beautiful and meant alot to me.
Thanks so much, Jeanne. Many blessings to you!
Such a good reminder. “When you think of it, you have never been by yourself and without help.” The story is never over until we leave this world.
So true, Theresa! Remembering that there’s more beyond this world helps to put things in perspective. Thanks for visiting. Many blessings to you!
Dear Boma … thanks for this needed reminder. We all need to be encouraged right about now …
May we find the encouragement we seek! Thanks for visiting, Linda. Many blessings to you!
Such a powerful, insightful post, Boma. God is with us, through trials and suffering. He is with us in all of our joys and sorrows. Some things are not ours to know and will remain a mystery. That’s what faith is all about.
Amen!!! God is with us always! Thanks for visiting, Laurie. Many blessings to you!
Thank you so much for this
Thanks for visiting, Oluwapelumi. Many blessings to you!
WoW! Boma, I LOVE THIS!!! —> Without churning of milk there would be no butter, grapes must be crushing to make wine, gold and silver must be refined to be pure, the diamond is formed under much pressure, the potter remakes the piece he knows can be a more useful vessel, and fruit trees must be pruned to produce abundant fruit. Thank you for this encouraging post!!!
Thanks for linking up at InstaEncouragements!
Amen!!! Thanks for visiting, and for hosting, Patsy. Many blessings to you!
I am asking God to help me to cooperate with him in accomplishing whatever he wants to do in this season of stress and uncertainty. Thank you for words that encourage me in that direction.
Amen!!! May He help us cooperate with Him! Thanks for visiting, Michele. Many blessings to you!
We want God’s economy to work like ours – to do good things=to be rewarded now – to receive our inheritance in this life. But I’m reminded repeatedly that our inheritance is better than anything we could get while we are on this earth – “an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.” (I Peter 1:4) An inheritance worth giving up all this life can offer us – the pearl of great price. And so we sell all our worldly goods to possess it. And it will be worth it! In the meantime, we will continue growing deeper and deeper into the intimacy of our relationship with him that gives us the strength to continue on.
So true, Connie! There’s so much more beyond this world. Thanks for visiting. Many blessings to you.
This is a truth we need to remember: “If the morning is not here yet, it’s not the end of the story then.” Amen.
It’s not! Thanks for visiting, Lisa. Many blessings to you!
Such truth! Many of the most valuable and beautiful things experience pressure and fire before they emerge as their beautiful, final form. Thank you for reminding us!
